Last month I went on a trip to Portland. I had a piece of sculpture exhibited in a group show at Antler Gallery curated by Thinkspace.
Portland is so interesting. The people are way friendly, the waterfalls are beautiful, the foods are delicious, and there is no bad coffee. I immediately falling in love with Portland and finally understand why people are moving to there.
Late Night Workshop
inspired by the little happy memories in life, such as a friend brought me late night supper when I'm working late.
Susanna and Neil from Antler Gallery and their pet buddy Duncan. Thank you for your hospitality.
Seeing old friends and making new ones.
Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland Chinatown.
Probably the most authentic Chinese garden in the states I ever seen.
Wade is the tea master at the garden. If you ever had a chance to visit, I highly recommend the Ceremonial Tea Set (Kung Fu Tea) with PuEr tea. Wade will demonstrate and guide you through the way of tea brewing. (only $8)
Waterfall at the Gorge
I was very excited to be part of a group exhibition curated by artist friend Lydia Fu at the 23rd Asian American Art Show, which was exhibiting together with film showcase at the Gene Sikel Film Center in downtown Chicago. The show has ended in June and the pieces were sold, Thank you Chicago, hope to visit there someday soon.
"Partridge Hill" was inspired from encountering wild Bamboo Partridges on my hiking trip in Taipei last year.
"Body Painting" was inspired from a live sketching trip with a very talented artist Julia Kuo at Taipei Zoo.
