Year of the OX Exhibition

I was invited to participate in a group exhibition at Chinese American Museum @camlaorg celebrating the year of the Ox.

I created a sculptural diorama of an American Bison. The title Tatanka is a word from Native American Lakota Tribe meaning “Big Beast”. For the Northern Plains People Tatanka meant life. Ceremonies and daily life revolved around sacred reverences to Tatanka.

Living in America as a first generation immigrant I have a tremendous respect for the native culture. The land is sacred and we are all visitors on this earth.

Albert and I will both donate our proceeds to @camlaorg and @stopaapihate Stop Asian American Pacific Islander Hate.

Charity Sale

My friend @Umitoyshawaii and I are partnered to raise money for @showalohachallenge 
It’s a charity event to help provide jobs for those in food industry by suppling meals to seniors and those in need. All proceeds from the Koi fish display are donated to help the cause. Mahalo 🤙🏼

Quarantine Art

Pandemic is so dreadful. I’ve been self quarantine for weeks now. Even though I normally spent a lot of my time working on my art at home, I still enjoyed socializing with friends and family when I was free.

I know everyone is hanging there, experiencing the same situation and try to do their part to keep the infection to the minimal. So I wanted to bring up people’s spirits by making these Small Display Pieces one a day for sometime. They are small and affordable. Just a little something for people to look forward to every morning.
